This fun and imaginative class will introduce ballet, creative movement and gross motor skills through familiar songs, creative movement and imagination!  A great class for the two year old dancer or, the three year old dancer who is not yet potty-trained or not quite ready to come into the classroom alone.   One parent per dancer may come into the classroom.  Parents entering the class will participate actively in the class along side of their dancer.   30 minutes.

Dress Requirements:  Hair pulled away from face and off shoulders secured closely to head.  Light pink leotard, pink tights & classical pink leather ballet slippers.  Boys may wear white T-shirts, black sweatpants, black leather ballet shoes.   Dance wear and shoes are available for purchase through JMDS for your convenience.   Don't have a chance to get dancewear?  For the first day you may come dressed in comfy clothing and socks!

Join us under the sea this summer in this fabulous mermaid themed ballet & tap class!   Preschoolers will enjoy these 45 min classes designed especially for each age group.   Introductory ballet & tap skills as well as creative movement will be explored in this class.  The extensive use of props and imagery keep young dancers engaged and fosters a love for dance by introducing movement in a playful yet effective way.  Children must be potty-trained and must be turning the required age by September 1st.   Participants in this class should be ready to enter the classroom independently.  Parents are able to watch class via our virtual viewing system.   45 minutes.

Dance & tumble to your favorite Trolls songs this summer!  Join this lively class that introduces the styles of hip hop & acro-dance all in one class!   Our certified Acrobatic Arts instructor will start the class with a warm up & cool hip hop moves, then move on to basic tumbling skills to finish the class.   These classes are kept purposely small so the instructor can provide hands on spotting and corrections.  Students will enter the class independently and parents may watch class with our virtual viewing system.  45 minutes

Dress Requirements:   Black leotard or black form fitting tank with black biker shorts.   Boys should wear a black Tee and black athletic shorts.   Bare legs and bare feet.   NO jewelry!  Hair should be pulled back into a low ponytail.   No beaded hair as beads can cause injury to your dancer during certain skills, they also break during class and pose a safety hazard.

We are diving under the sea this summer with the Little Mermaid and her friends!  Students will lean movement in the center, at the barre' and across the floor as ballet and tap skills are introduced through favorite songs and imaginative movement activities.  Come and be a part of our world this summer!

Try something new this summer!   Musical theatre dance.   This style of dance combines movement with acting.  It is often seen in Broadway shows like Hamilton, Wicked and Annie!  A fun form of dance that is great for beginners or dancers with experience in other styles.

This very popular form of  street style dance has been taking the local dance scene by storm for many years now!  It's a great 45 min class for both boys and girls and a form of dance that anyone can enjoy! Both those new to dance as well as those with limited experience will find the classes fun and enjoyable.  Hip hop styles from past to present are explored in each class through center and across the floor movement.  Age appropriate music and movement is always a focus as it is with all classes at JMDS!

Dress Requirements:   Hair secured away from the face and off the neck.  Black High Top Canvas Hip Hop Sneakers, black leggings, black biker shorts or black sweatpants and a comfortable, loose fitting top such as a T-shirt.

This is a great class for pre-teens and teens as it explores three different styles of dance in one class!  Each week the class will start with tap, transition to ballet and wrap up with jazz.  Try it all and see what you like!   A wide variety of Ballet & Tap Technique is explored in these classes  Students will lean movement in the center, at the barre' and across the floor.  Classes are still approached in a fun and enjoyable manner.  This class is designed to create confident dancers and inspire a passion for dance.
